Stay in one of two exclusive woodland cabins with views of Loch Shiel to the front and access to the woods, hills and moorland behind. The mixed woodland support a thriving population of woodland birds, red squirrels and pine martens, that are regularly seen from the lodges, as well as affording occasional sightings of red and roe deer. You may even be lucky and see the rare and elusive wild cat.
The two bedroom self catering lodges are equipped to the highest standard and combine rustic charm with all the traditional home comforts.
There are some secluded lovely sandy beaches nearby, including the lovely beach at Dorlin, which affords access to the Eilean Tioram at low tide, a tidal island surmounted by the Castle Tioram, the former stronghold of MacDonald of Clan Ranald, and now a romantic ruin.
Loch Shiel is a good place to look for raptors, including golden eagle, white-tailed eagle, hen harrier, osprey and buzzard, as well as black throated divers. Look out for otters and common and grey seals from the Garbh Eilean Wildlife Hide at Ardery, a short drive away, situated on the shores of Loch Sunart.
There are also some lovely coastal and woodland walks nearby, as well as a number of Corbetts and Marilyns to climb.
The cabins provide the perfect Highland retreat for couples, families and family groups who wish to explore the great outdoors; with scenic walks, secluded sandy beaches, sheltered sea lochs, romantic castles, towering peaks and abundant wildlife nearby.
