Restaurants and Local Produce
Locally in Acharacle, The Acharacle Tearoom offers light lunches and a tasty selection of tea and cakes, whilst The Ardshealach Lodge offers a seasonal evening menu based on local produce and home grown vegetables. Both are highly recommended by ourselves and many of our guests. The Loch Shiel Hotel in Acharacle serves pub lunches and evening meals as do The Salen Hotel and Glenuig Inn a little further afield. If you do not fancy driving, The Mingarry Park Guest House, just over the road, has a restaurant serving evening meals with a local flavour and contemporary style.
One of favourite meals is Fish 'n' Chips at the fishing port of Mallaig, great after a day on the beach at Camusdarach or after a ferry trip to The Small Isles. A real taste of the West Coast...
Alternatively, you can buy some of the local produce including scallops, langoustines, venison and locally smoked salmon to rustle up a delicious dish in the fully equipped kitchens at Mingarry Lodges.
Further details of where to eat and where to buy local produce can be found in the Lodges.
