Beaches & Castles: Moidart has a very colourful history, not least for it's association with Bonnie Prince Charlie. Tioram Castle, a stronghold of the Clanranalds is within walking distance of Mingarry. Mingary Castle itself is not in Mingarry, though you will pass it if you venture out to Ardnamurchan Point.
Sports: There are plenty of opportunities to engage in outdoor activities in Moidart, Lochaber and Ardnamurchan, suitable for all levels of fitness. The local garlic snails have a very relaxed attitude. Click on the image to find out what the snail is missing out on.
Touring: For those wishing to explore the beauty of the West Highlands, Mingarry Lodges provides an ideal base for touring The Ardnamurchan, Moidart, Lochaber and The Small Isles. Click on the ferry from Kilchoan to explore further.
Fort William: Fort William is around 60 minutes drive away from Mingarry, offering a chance to stock up on Scottish Woollen Knitwear, Harris Tweed, Tam o Shanters and Usquabae. It is also known as The Outdoor Capital of the UK providing opportunites to take part in a wide range of sporting pursuits, and is the start of one of the popular routes up Ben Nevis.
