Mingary Castle

Beaches & Castles: Moidart has a very colourful history, not least for it's association with Bonnie Prince Charlie. Tioram Castle, a stronghold of the Clanranalds is within walking distance of Mingarry. Mingary Castle itself is not in Mingarry, though you will pass it if you venture out to Ardnamurchan Point.

Fort William: Fort William is around 60 minutes drive away from Mingarry, offering a chance to stock up on Scottish Woollen Knitwear, Harris Tweed, Tam o Shanters and Usquabae. It is also known as The Outdoor Capital of the UK providing opportunites to take part in a wide range of sporting pursuits, and is the start of one of the popular routes up Ben Nevis.
