The Lodges provide ideal holiday accommodation for all those who enjoy wildlife and the great outdoors.

For Families: Mingarry Lodges provide an ideal base for a wide range of activities offered in the local area and beyond. There are walks and cycle routes nearby, as well as woodlands, beaches, rocky shores and castles to explore. Swimming pools and heritage centres are found Mallaig and Fort William. Take a trip to Ardnamurchan Lighthouse, and explore the most westerly point on the British Mainland. You can also climb to the top of the lighthouse for panoramic views of the peninsula and across to the Small Isles and Inner Hebrides. The Lighthouse Exhibition Centre is also well worth a visit if you are interested in geology and natural history of the area, and the workings of the lighthouse. There is also a small natural history centre on the peninsula (Nadurra), with a shop, cafe and an exhibition centre.

For train and Harry Potter enthusiasts, the Jacoboite Steam Train, which departs from Fort William and Mallaig (seasonal steam train service) is well worth a ride; arguably one of most scenic railway journeys in Europe.

There are also plenty of wildlife spotting opportunities for all the family to enjoy by land, loch and sea.

We have a good selecion of family themed board games for an entertaining evening in.

For Small Family Groups: Why not book out both lodges to share your holiday with friends and family? The two lodges and woodlands behind provide an idea opportunity for two families to get together and have exclusive access to the site to make your holiday or family reunion or anniversary event really special.

We recognise that holidays are special times. We are on hand, if required, to offer you personal advice and tips on local walks, outdoor activities, nature reserves and tourist attractions to help you get the most out of your holiday.

One of the joys of visiting The West Highlands is the opportunity to enjoy some of the local produce. We can offer advice on where to source venison, seafood and traditionally smoked salmon.
