Another fantastic stay - superbly comfortable accommodation and unbelievably well equipped. Books on local history and local wildlife, OS maps, huge variety of suggested walks for all abilities, dvd's, cd's, games, just everything you could want. The CCTV focused on the feeding stations in the garden quickly becomes addictive. The lodges are spotless, the water is hot and the beds are comfy. Lovely beaches close by - and very few people to spoil them. Ideal to book both lodges for a bigger family holiday.

Keep returning to Mingarry Lodges as we don't think we can find anything to beat the location and the quality of the lodge. Has to be the best equipped self catering accommodation we have been to and we have stayed in quite a few over the years. Expect to be booking again for next year very shortly.
The location of this lodge was perfect and the views from the front windows (and back) were glorious in rain and shine. The lodge was immaculate and equipped with literally everything you could ever need. The owner, Jayne, was helpful and friendly and ready with advice on places to go and see and where was best to spot wildlife. I can't recommend this holiday rental highly enough!
A really well equipped lodge in a wonderful location. A good base for exploring the many local walks and the wider area.
Situated in the perfect position for relaxing within the grounds or exploring the most beautiful, unspoilt area of Scotland, Mingarry Lodges are a perfect destination to leave the real world behind.
For the owners, nothing is too much trouble and we were made to feel at home from the minute we arrived. Luxurious, extremely well equipped, spotlessly clean and very homely lodges were an absolute pleasure to stay in.
If you are into wildlife, walks, tranquility and relaxation, Mingarry is the place to go. We have had the best family holiday ever and will certainly be returning and bringing more of the family with us next time as there is so much to explore and do.
Thank you Jayne and Andrew for a truly unforgettable holiday, you are such wonderful hosts.
If you're after somewhere in the West Highlands that is away from the main tourist areas and still unspoiled then this is the place to go. Very friendly owners with plenty of tips on how to find local wildlife, walking routes and where to eat.
This is my second stay at Mingarry Lodges and I have already booked my 3rd. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to escape the crowds.
Just had one of the best holidays ever at Mingarry Lodges, Scotland,
everything from the reception, accommodation, surroundings, and wildlife, was superb, the weather was pretty good, and the local midges were very friendly.!!

Mingarry lodge is one of the best holiday houses I have ever stayed. The accommodation is excellent every detail has been considered thoroughly for the comfort of visitors. You are well placed to explore the countryside as well as see the local wildlife. Jayne and Andrew provide you with a great list of things you might do and were on hand if you needed to ask anything but did not encroach. This is one holiday house you do not need to take anything with you. Everything you could want is there; kitchen equipment, well appointed and equipped bathrooms, comfortable bedrooms, maps and reference material along with a good selection of reading material and dvds. There is a good welcome pack too on your arrival.
The Lodge is near the village of Acharacle where there is a bakery, cafes and a small supermarket. However, suggest as we had done do a big shop before you arrive as it's a way to Fort William but you would certainly manage for meals out if you didn't want to cook locally.
Recommend this as a lovely relaxing spot to see the wildlife and some of Ardnamurchan.
I can only say 5 stars all the way, you could not meet nicer hosts Jayne and Andrew and with all the nice little extras, Tooting lodge very comfortable I did not want to leave.
I will be going back in the near future, I can highly recommend the Mingarry Lodges.
The comfort and amenities at the lodge are of excellent quality. A really ideal base to see and enjoy a wealth of scenery and wildlife. This was our second stay and it didn't disappoint, we are certain to return again, a special area of Scotland and a special place to stay.
Exceeded all expectations and will more than likely return. Setting, wildlife, owner all just brilliant. Thanks Jayne and Andrew
I´m visiting scotland since 10 years and have stayed in more than 20 self catering accomodations...but this one was outstanding.
A peaceful place with a lot of stunning wildlife in front of your lodge and a perfectly equipped accomodation.
There is nothing left to be desired.
We stayed 2 weeks in Hooting Lodge and couldn't wish for anything better.Lodge was perfect, wildlife perfect and Andrew and Jane gave us so much information on everything. We will definitely be going back.
We had a wonderful week at Tooting lodge, Jayne and Andrew have created a beautiful environment for wildlife. The lodge was immaculate, everything you need and more. The area is so beautiful with lovely beaches and surrounding hills, we will be back .
We first stayed here last autumn and immediately booked another visit to experience the Ardnamurchan peninsula in the spring time. We are pleased to report we had a wonderful time revisiting favourite places and discovering new ones. We were lucky with the weather - six warm and sunny days out of seven. Jayne and Andrew have done such a good job with Mingarry Lodges which are so well-equipped and comfortable. The attention to detail is amazing and, combined with the many generous and thoughtful extras provided, they are definitely the best self-catering accommodation we have stayed in. The web-cams are a real plus and we enjoyed seeing the local wildlife so much that we never watched any TV at all! We would definitely recommend Mingarry Lodges to anyone wanting a home from home in a beautiful location. We hope to visit again before too long.
Our first visit to Mingarry Lodges and will not be our last ! Everything you need and more are provided in this cosy lodge.
This is one of the best wild life holidays we have experienced, and wished we had discovered it sooner.
The location for exploring the general area is excellent, and a good place to tour from.
Our hosts Jayne & Andrew made us very welcome, and have provided a wonderful setting to relax and observe the wildlife of the area . Thoroughly recommended .
This is our fourth visit and each time it has the WOW factor. It is just like home from home with every detail thought through. The lodge is cosy and comfortable and the wildlife spectacular. There are so many walks both near and far so each time you visit there are new things to do/see. The scenery on the peninsula is stunning. Thanks to Jayne and Andrew for giving us these wonderful experiences.
Beautifully kept and thoughtfully resourced lodges - Jayne and Andrew have thought of everything! Their attention to detail is almost beyond belief. The lodges are situated perfectly for peace and quiet with opportunities to spot wildlife and with further exploration of the area there is even more to see.
We had been looking forward to this holiday since we booked it back in January knowing it was in the highlands and surrounded by stunning views and wildlife. We arrived to be greeted by Jayne and Andrew who were amazing hosts that have built a fantastic lodge with great attention to detail. Our two weeks there went far too quick and we only wish we could live there ! Anyone looking to stay in the depths of the highlands and have an interest in wildlife should stay here you will not be disappointed.
We had a wonderful week at the end of March at Tooting lodge. Even the weather was perfect, sunny and warm. The lodge was exceptionally well equipped and full of tasteful details. The beds particularly were very comfortable. We could not find fault in anything!
Ardnamurchan Peninsula is definitely worth visiting and we would highly recommend Mingarry Lodges, its peace and quiet and wonderful wildlife.
